Chardonnista's!

I am spending the next month travelling around Europe and wanted to share my experience with you all.

I hosted a winemakers dinner last night in Germany at Christian & Friends Taste Kitchen in Fulder. This is a very beautiful & very old town, spared from the ravages of war, with a Church that is 819 years old in the village centre.

Christians food was exceptional, especially given his kitchen is like most home kitchens with a domestic Miele oven & induction hob. He seats up to 30 guests, in a beautiful setting. His wine list is colorful & comprehensive, with a great selection of European classics & quite a few NZ wines! Christian visited NZ especially to taste our exceptional wines & experience kiwi cuisine, and developed a great passion for our country. His guests loved our wines & were intrigued with our concrete eggs & French oak Ovum. Fat & Sassy was a hit with the crowd too, and for most the first NZ wine other than Sauvignon Blanc they had ever tried. A beautiful evening, my English to German translator made things even better. A delightful young pastor who was most excellent company. Highly recommend this restaurant & beautiful town.
I can't wait to share the rest of the trip with you all.
