The Urban Winery wins ‘Essence of Hawkes Bay’ Award at Hawke’s Tourism Awards

At last nights ceremony, The Urban Winery was a finalist in 3 of the 7 categories, and took out the award for ‘Essence of Hawke’s Bay’.
Judge Kim Thorp commented that The Urban Winery was “the essence of what Hawke’s Bay, from a tourism perspective, should absolutely be. It is a very cool environment, and it feels exciting, and it feels fresh and new..”
Located in the historic National Tobacco Company Building in Ahuriri, Napier, The Urban Winery offers daily wine tastings of Tony BishChardonnays, made in the beautiful barrel room with viewing window, along with a great selection of small specialist boutique wine producers from this outstanding fine wine region. Also on offer are craft beer tastings, wine-bar, tapas, lunches, and live music events. The music is unique, being totally from Tony’s extensive vinyl collection. The Urban Winery welcomes visitors from NZ and abroad with enthusiasm and excellence in customer care, and is open 7 days a week.
